In my opinion, the answer is emphatically "yes." For the sake of "saving diversity" and "preserving unity," many have gone over the line between respectful speech/cultural tolerance and totally disregarding the truth, fact, and objectivity for the sake of said diversity. Check out something one of my close friends discovered at his college -- a supposedly conservative college, no less: www.questionthecollege.blogspot.com

I can understand the reluctance of the school's overseers to respond to the authors (because of anonymity), but the violations of this Diversity speaker go FAR beyond any acceptable limits. Plagiarized work was apparently presented to the entire student body and yet the college makes no attempt to reprimand the speaker nor correct the errors. There are many other incidents like this occurring in colleges/universities across the countries, but I was surprised to find one so obvious where the factual arguments presented were so completely ignored. Thoughts?

Absolutely, yes. Objectivity is a dead art. I know a class where the professor would fail students who were Republican -- this was 'official course policy' stated on the first day of class every semester.

i can't see your link, so i have no idea what you're talking about.

ok, found it now. um... the 1000 students at this tiny *** conservative college have probably emerged unscathed.

this diversity speaker is obviously not much of a threat, making us imagine a world with no sprinklers and elevators. a better question is, why can't you find a more interesting example of this terrifying political correctness scourge?

Political Correctness is a joke! It teaches you to use labels in order to cope. It does not encourage you to see to the root of the problem, only to slap a bow on it in hopes that it'll be more appealing, or even better, go away.

How can you save something if you can't see it's distressed?

Your college is doing you a favor. Political correctness extends past college into corporate America.

Get used to it.

true objectivity does not exist in the vast majority of colleges. Leftist dems are afraid of true objectivity so they re-define it into something they can live with, i.e. all conclusions that blister conservatives and match democrats are objective.
