I used to dowload off of lime wire but i read bad reveiws on it.

Anywhere that you're not paying for the music in one way or another from someone who has the rights to sell it is illegal. Limewire, Morpheus, Kazaa, etc.

illegal? I don't know but apparently Morpheus is illegal. I'm not sure about legal though
