My little girl is due in 4 weeks and I can't decide what outfit to put on her for her pictures and to go home in. I have TONS of clothes for her ie: dresses, one-pieces, pants and shirts...you name it and can't decide what to put her in! I am just putting gowns on her until we do the picture and when we leave. Anyone have an opinion?

This isn't my first child...I know all about the ease of changing diapers and such. It was however the middle of December when my son was born though, so dressing him was pretty-much a no-brainer!

My husband is a big itme hunter, I mean hunts all the time for everything. So I let hime pick what would be his most favortie thing for her to come home in, and of course he chose camo onezie. Of course it has lace on it so that others would know that it was a girl, but she was the cutest little thing and it brought a lot of attention to her. Try to pick something that expresses your personality kind of like my husband did.

Wish i could help. I had my daughter in December and the day we took her home it was 16 degrees out. So it was a one piece outfit, then a snow suit type thing, then a blanket over her with the carrier guard up.
Maybe you can bring her home in a cute dress. Would put less pressure on her umbillical cord!

My baby girl is due in 8 weeks and I already have her outfits picked out too.
When she comes home from the hospital shes going to wear her winnie the pooh outfit that has little mittens on it and matching hat and socks that her grandma bought for her the day I found out I was pregnant. For her newborn professional pictures shes going to wear a little cherry dress and black mary janes.. For her newborn pictures that I am just going to take myself I am going to put her in a onezie that says "Am I really related to these people?" just cuz its funny and Imma send it to all the realitives..
congrats on your little girl!

Just keep in mind that it can be hard to get things over a newborn's head and that you'll need to be changing diapers pretty often so you'll want easy access. Look for clothes that aren't too complicated to get on and off.

I would put her in a girly sleeper for her picture, something pink or lavender. To take her home in I would maybe put her in shorts or pants and a t-shirt...it's pretty hot right now. You can always put a light receiving blanket over her if you need to.
Good luck and congratulations!!

well, when it comes to newborns, you need to remember that they are still so tiny and thin, no matter what they weigh when born. so i suggest that you take like a preemie outfit for pictures. otherwise your general new born clothes will be too big. and for going home gowns are perfect.

simple, comfy and easy to access.. most important, comfortable. Dresses are kinda a PITA with young babies b/c you are always holding them and they are always riding up.. ok for pics but changer her after. also dont get dresses for when you expect her to be crawling (7-8 mos or so) they are impossible to crawl in.

something pink and keep those stupid head bands with the flowers off her. The marks those leave are sad to see.
