Not likely. The dutch elm disease only affects the American Elm tree. Most of these trees were killed by this disease years ago. There has been some recent success in developing disease resistant strains of the American Elm, and it is hoped that they can someday line out streets again.

i would say no b/c a lot of elm trees have that in my neighborhood and the tree people say it will spread to other elms. but if you're really concerned ask a tree specialist

No, it only affects elm trees
