If i could afford it and if insurance would cover it I would get one every week. I have fibromylgia and it really helps. Lets me function and be a mom.

Well, it's up to you to inform them of the therapeutic benefits of massage. Most people go to a massage therapist for relief and relaxation. Massages are very comforting and help release muscular tension, aches and pains. I think most folks regard massage as a pleasurable therapy, and it's true that anything that makes a person feel better should be important to them. The ones that don't get it, have probably never had a massage.

Very important... massage reliefs my backpain and my sore shoulders! I have a foot massage machine but never it can work as good as a massage therapist!

I also give myself food massage when I m not too tired. I love body massage with essential oil too. In Hong Kong, we pay about US$50 - 70 for 45 minutes body massage service in typical beauty centre or spa. The spa in hotels like Four Seasons or Riza Carlton would charge about US$150+ for 45 minutes.

I need to walk a lot at work (about 3 hours each day, sometimes 6 hours) so I have backpain and my feet swell very often that I need to have foot massage every night.

If I don't travel, I manage to have 90 minutes of body massage and 45 minutes of foot massage once a week. But recently I'm too busy that I can only give myself 15 minutes of foot massage at night. It is totally not enough for my tiring body and soul!

Extremely - - - there are simply some of us who cannot afford it - - - but I tell everyone that the human body is a machine that needs a tune up two to three times a week at the raw minimum. Millions of Americans would live a decade more, on average, if they made it a point to get a massage thrice a week. Peace,

I am also a CMT and I agree allot of people think it is not important to center themselves and worked on their muscles. So many injuries could have been prevented if they had healing done by touch.

It is not so important, because U cannot heal cancer by it. But it is important for blood circulation, which a failure of it could lead to serious diseases. And it is brilliant for relaxation!
