Ok seriously. Sit down at your computer and write a story. I'm serious. Pick a place you want to be, a person you want to be and start. We lived in Wyoming for 2 years (needI expand on boring) and I experienced not only boredom but a profound depression. I've always been a Star Trek TNG fan so I started writing a Star Trek story with me (the me I want to be) as the protagonist. Pretty soon I was having so much fun with it, I didn't want to stop.
Ended up writing an entire novel length story. I still reread it at times.

Think about the things that make you happy and go do them! Get outside and be active in the summer months, go to the malll, read a good book, go get a manicure or pedicure, cook something good, do something nice for an elderly person. Just do something and get out of your boredom!
