OK, not a spouse (yet), but I met my b/f here on Answers. He had answered a question about why were girls so attracted to guys that were horrible to them. His answer touched me, so I emailed him & told him that there were girls out there who were looking for a good guy to treat them right. We started emailing each other & once we got to know each other, things developed unexpectedly. I was very careful abotu how much info I gave him & was actually misleading about my true self b/c we WERE online. Once we got the truth out there-things began to happen. He came to visit a few weeks ago (I had had surgery, so we planned a visit during my recovery) and things were amazing. We went to the musuem of art and I let him wander around close to me-but not beside me. It may have been stand-offish, but I was actually watching him the entire time to see his reaction to the pieces of art that I love. Then, we went to a musuem that was new to me too and I was awestruck the entire time I was there. I was so fortunate to have had such a phenominal experience with someone I was still falling in love with. Even better, we have so many things to look forward to sharing with each other.
Just remember, love finds us when we stop looking for it.

Well, she not my spouse yet.......We met online. She had read something I had posted and she responded to me. We emailed back and forth a while and then we started calling each other. Eventually we got to where we exchanged pics. She was totally, NOT my 'type'....but there was something so amazing about her that I didn't give things a second thought. We had both been thru some shitty realtionship(s) and had 'given up'. I opened her eyes and showed her all the things that she thought wasn't possible. She took my heart and did the same. Things finally got around to me being able to visit her. It was an incredible trip. We had spent nearly 3 months getting to know each other and when we actually got to 'meet' it was like a piece of a puzzle what we didn't even know was missing had fallen into place. I forgot to mention that on top of being incredible, she's also beautiful. I really can't ( and don't WANT to ) imagine my life without and I know she too feels the same way. Although now, we are working the kinks out of our long-distance relationship, I am planning on moving to be with her as soon as I can sell my house.
She(we) is/are the exception to the rule(s) about on-line romances.

Okay, here's a soap opera at it's finest.
When I was fifteen I started dating this guy who lived four houses down from me. I lost my virginity to him, and one day he was getting ready to leave with my brother to go camping. I was laying on his bed doing a word search, when his little brother who was 13 at the time came and laid next to me to work on it. The strange thing was, he was kind of laying slightly on my back and arm. I didn't think anything of it because he was my boyfriends little bro.
In his freshman year of high school I was a junior and would always make fun of him cause I thought he was such a nerd.
It got to the point we hated each other.
A year or so later, I broke up with my boyfriend and as time went by started to see how cute his brother was looking.
Well, when I was 19, It was my brothers birthday and I thought I would invite him (Jason) to go to the mountains with me. When we stopped, we reclined the seats and watched the beautiful stars up above. Before I know what's happening, he's kissing me! OOH man! I knew right then and there that was the guy I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
And I am. We will have been married for 10 yrs.this January and we have 5 beautiful kids.
He is my first and only true love.

I was 24 when I met my husband through his sister. I was getting my nails done, as was she, and she kept staring at me. When I got up to leave she said I would be perfect for her brother. She insisted I take his email address after I turned down his phone number. Well, I sent him an email and he wrote back. We wrote for about a week before agreeing to meet. We dated for 1 month and then went to look for wedding rings. 3 months later he proposed at a large Christmas charity event in front of a huge amount of people. We then saved our money to plan our dream wedding, which we had last year! And because he was a pastry chef, he even made our wedding cake, which was simply beautiful. We've been married nearly a year now, I'm 28 and he's 36. After years of dating jerks, it was so nice to finally meet a guy who is so loving and kind. It is an honor to know him and to be married to him.

We met when we were 7 yrs. old at church. We hated each other for years. I actually liked my husbands older brother when I was a kid. My husband was annoying as hell and a pain in the butt. One day when we were around 14, he suddenly started to look good to me and I could ignore some of the annoying behavior. We started dating when we were 15 and were married at 19. We have now been married 15 yrs and have 5 children.

We work at the same place and met in a class at work on Visual Basic (a programming language).
One of the main conversation topics that got us communicating (via email) was evolutionary biology. She loaned me a book by Stephen J. Gould called "The Panda's Thumb".

Sorry to dissapoint you, but this is more of a comedy. I was dating a lesbian for a year, and didn't know it. Her best friend confronts her and tells her she should break it off with me. We do, and I fall in love with her best friend. It worked out, and today after 35 years we all still get along great.

ok here goes.....i was 16. my mom was going to be a speaker at a seminar at this school and she wanted me to come. well at the last minute the school decided i could not go in so i got stuck outside. like a typical nerdy girl, i sat outside on a bench with a book. next thing i know this guy comes over and asks my name, where i am from, how old am i, etc....then out of nowhere he says, "i have to tell you something, you would be perfect for my friend." i was thinking, yeah sure dude. whatever. i decided to exchange phone numbers with him anyway and he said he'd pass on my number to his "friend." later that night his friend called and we decided to meet up that night at the park. wouldn't you know we hit it off so hard, HOURS went by, both of us just talking and laughing. we clicked instantly. 8 days later we were boyfriend/girlfriend. 5 years after that we got married, and now today, after a total of 12 years we are still madly in love and married with 2 kids!!

We met in high school. He always used to make fun of me for eating so much (I was an athlete) and would be mean to me in 9th grade when I had a b/f. I didnt pay alot of attention. In 10th grade, my friend said he was interested, so she made us talk, and now we've been together for 2 years. He's in the Marines now, trying to make a future for us.
