Of course it makes you pee a lot! Whats wrong with peeing a lot? When I started drinking 64 ounces of water a day, I lost 5 lbs! Your body gets used to peeing all the time. Peeing isn't that big of a deal, I'd rather be well hydrated and pee than dehydrated and never peeing.

I drink between 6-10 glasses of water a day. I love it. Yes, I pee a lot, but it makes and keeps you hydrated. I don't know why, but since I started being better about drinking water, I haven't really gotten sick, and I feel cleaner haha. But, i also add some of that crystal light instant powder to it. The kind with 0 sugars and no fat or carbs. They all taste super good though the peach tea is my favorite. Try that if you can't do just plain water. It helps me and keeps me away from stuff youre not supposed to drink like soda and coffee and such. Give one of the flavors a try and tell me what you think!

The FDA has admitted a mistake here: It used to be 8 a day or 64 ounces. They did not calculate the water in fruits, veges, meats, etc. So the average is actually about 5-6 a day provided one eats enough fruit, veges etc. It also depends on your body mass- bigger more water/smaller less. And don't forget your activity level is a huge part of the equation as well.

Think about it -- why would EVERYBODY need the same amount? The fact is, what "everyone says" is just an old wives' tale, an urban myth!!
You don't need to drink 8 glasses of water a day. You certainly don't need 1/2 your body weight (in oz.) per day. You don't need ANY arbitrary target amount per day. Drink when you're thirsty. Period!

When I was working out a lot more, I used to drink a gallon a day. I peed a lot for the first week, but then my body got used to it and I didn't pee so much.

8 glass is not too much as it flushes out your system and helps you to lose weight. I weighed much less when I was drinking 8 glasses per day.

It does at first, but once your body gets used to it, the level goes down. You just have to acclimatize. It's 64 oz. of water a day, if that helps.

You can try drinking sports drinks like gatorade, nothing can replace good old fashioned water, byt as long as you can replace your bodies electrolytes, you will be fine.
