Final Harry Potter.............?

I just heard the most upsetting rumor ever!!!!! I was told that Harry Potter is going to die in the last book! Is this true? Does anyone know....or has anyone heard the same rumor??

J.K. Rowling said it's definitely possible. She said she's FOR SURE going to kill off at least two main charactersT_T

There's a lot of debate about that.

A LOT of people, experts who have nothing better to do than debate the book, say that yes, he will die, because she's trying to make it seem like it's not just a little kid book where the good guy always lives.

But there's a study I read the other day with another expert who has too much time on his hands who says that JK Rowling would never kill Harry. She's just letting people think that he'll die so that everyone (especially the fanfiction writers) know that she owns Harry Potter, she created him, and she can kill him if she wants. She's showing that she has total control over her characters.

Personally.....she was so devastated when she killed *cut for spoilers* the ones she killed in the 5th and 6th books....I don't think she'll have the guts to kill Harry.

I do hope she does kill him, though.

I think no one will know until JK Rowling releases it - dont believe too much in rumours - its just chinese whispers.
All thats ever been said for definate from JK Rowling is that some big figures will die in the last book, but we will not know who.
Its possible she will, because of the desire of copy cat authors not to pick up where she leaves - but i have faith and hope that she wont commit such a dark and evil end to a popular charcters struggles.
She'll make the best choice for the story im sure dont despair!!

I think Harry Potter will die. I've heard it a lot. It's sorta stupid that he doesn't want to go for the last year of school. He could have learned things that could save his life instead of looking for the horcruxes. Also J.K. Rowling doesn't want other people to write stories after he's out of Hogwarts after she's dead. That way if he kills him off that won't happen. I think he'll die cause of it.

This is a major rumor that has been going on for a long time but was really thrown into high gear when in an interview J.K. Rowling stated that two characters will die. She does not name who or hint to their identities but many are speculating.

yes.i have heard that a lot.it is being said since the sixth book came out.and also when jk rowling said in an interview that 2 characters will die.i hate to say it but i think harry will die.Rowling wants the books to end and that will be the best way to do that.also there are rumours that harry will be the last horcrux and when he realises that he will kill himself along with voldemort.i hope thats not true.

I've heard the same thing, I think J.K.R. wants to kill off her characters so no one can drag them from their graves when she's long and gone. In my opinion she's gotten more bitter since the first book, probably from all the notoriety, I wouldn't be surprised if she did kill him off. And my brother said something about Harry being the 7th something-or-other which would involve him getting killed. =/ I've never read the books, so I had no idea what it meant but it might mean something to yall.

I don't think he's going to die. He has to defeat Voldemort. So unless he and Voldemort somehow kill each other, for Harry to die would be anti-climactic.
