I had a complicated miscarriage when I was very young, something about it didn't go right and I was bleeding to death, of course I didn't know that. I was pretty out of it by the time we got to the hospital, I was vaguely aware of people being very upset and busy around me, I heard them talking about losing someone, I thought there must have been an awful car accident and that someone must be in bad shape, I had no idea it was me. For my part it was very peaceful and I was finally not in agonizing pain anymore so I was quite content. I could have easily died then and really it would have meant nothing to me, I wasn't afraid, I wasn't worried, I wouldn't even have known I just would have faded further and gone to sleep, permanently. Its funny to me now that it was so much like you see in the movies, when I first got there all I could see is the lights overhead, shortly after I didn't see anything at all.
So over all, I think if you have to go bleeding to death is an excellent way to do it, when it first started and I was alert it just hurt but I didn't think about dying being a possibility so I wasn't scared of it then, by the time it was a possibility my brain was elsewhere and it honestly never crossed my mind until they stuck IV's and blood in me and the pain came back and I heard my husband asking me to please not die, thats the first time the possibility occurred to me.

Having a lightning bolt hit like 20 feet away from me. I was actually blinded by it for 15 seconds or so. Couldn't see anything but bright white, and then my vision slowly faded back into focus.
Needless to say, I am a little more catious during thunderstorms.

He was sitting in front of me on the bus once, about 13 years ago - doing a crossword puzzle from the Globe and Mail and drinking a milkshake. I was tempted to strike up a conversation, but I didn't want him memorizing my face for future reference.

I actually died to be honest. I was 18 and I went into a diabetic coma and I slipped away. Sorry no bright light but my Father in Heaven sent me back because it wasn't my time to go. That was the scarest moment in my life.

Getting side-swiped by a bus while driving my car along a narrow road. The other side of the road was a big ditch.
