Oh, I miss that. It is so adorable. Not so much they eyes half open, but the smiling. One of my favorite first born memories. Enjoy it, it will go QUICK! My daughter is almost seven months old already! It seems like she was born just yesterday!

VERY NORMAL!!!! and quite I may add all three of my children done it and my 8 year old still sleeps with his eyes half open which looks very wierd. Anyway, your baby is dreaming REM rapid eye movement is a good name for it. I have also heard they are dreaming about angels. Your baby is fine nothing to worry about just sit back and relax and spend time with your precious lil angel

Sounds like you are enjoying watching your baby. Lucky you to have a little one to enjoy.
Babies dream like people. When the eyes move a person is an REM, rapid eye movement, and dreaming.
IF you are concerned, all your pediatrician. Better safe than sorry when it comes to your ability to monitor your baby.
Next time watch the baby's father sleeping and see what you see.

My son, who is 3, sleeps with his eyes open. It took my a long time to get used to it. Some people on his dad's side do this as well.

It's R.E.M, Rapid Eye Movement, a stage of sleep! I learned this in a Psychology Class. When i had my baby in May she did this alot too and it FREAKED me out, then I did some research and remembered learning about it!

This is called REM sleep (rapid eye movement). It is perfectly normal and you do the same thing when you sleep. Unless you have a sleep disorder.

Sounds like he's dreaming. His body is still getting used to all the nerves he has now that he's developing. Call your pediatrician if it bothers you.
