here is a way that is rarely known about but it works. First thing you do is locate one of the spark plug wires. This is the only source of good current that will work. Find a length of wire that is about 6 to 8 feet in length, a screwdriver, and a pair of wire strippers. Stick the screwdriver into the end of the sparkplug wire that you pulled off the plug and strip both ends of the wire. Wrap one end of the exposed wire around the screwdriver that is sticking out of the plug wire. Go sit inside the vehicle with the other end of the wire DO NOT START THE CAR BEFORE THIS STEP! Sit in the drivers seat and using your thumb or fingers, hold the exposed end of the wire against the instrument panel as close to the odometer as possible. While holding the wire against the panel, crank the vehicle. This will reset the odometer and make it run backwards. When you run off as many miles as you want, repeat the process to reverse the odometer again. It's that easy!

No, there is no way to REVERSE the mileage on the car....
cars have computers that keep track of the mileage,
when a dealer fixes a car under warranty, the mileage is reported to the manufacturer, and the title has the mileage of the vehicle, as well, so you run a *REALLY GOOD* chance of getting caught if you try any of the previously suggested ways to roll the odometer back.
Whatever your reasons for wanting to do it, it really isn't worth the hastle or the fine.

It's illegal, so I strongly recommend against doing it, but if you're determined to break the law or you're just curious about how it could be done, you can switch it out for an identical, but lower mileage odometer obtained from a salvage yard or parts car.

Most vehicles also keep track of the mileage in the transmission. When a dealer plugs the car into their computer they can tell if the Odomoeter is not actual.

you disconnect the odometer cable, hook up a reverible drill and pull the trigger,But in almost 95% of this happening you will be caught because the numbers never act properly again and it's very much an illegal procedure, one that will land you in jail.

Yes there is, but this is odometer fraud and you can be prosecuted if found out. Most odometers are digital nowawdays and will foil most efforts to roll them back anyway.

Yes! Fill up a tub of water next to your car.....now.....take some jumper cables and hook them to the battery. Now, clip the other end of the jumper cables to your nipples. Then put one foot in the bucket and turn the car on..........
