I think I've grown somewhat cynical over time. I think I started out "innocent" so to speak, taking things and people at face value and being fairly trusting. But experience has taught me to be more careful, to think about things, and with that has come cynicism.

cynic means to believe that all people are motivated by selfishness but then again selfishness to me is a way of self love , is putting your self before anyone , we are born alone and we will die alone, the people we meet through out our journey our parents brothers sisters friends lovers teachers etc , don't last for ever ...but we do that "i" lives on ... it's your life your dreams and your hopes , there fore i consider my self to be cynicals , as well as i consider myself honest and transparent , we need to be cynical and to be selfish we need to love our selves first , before we can love others. i can go on and on about this question though.
