Well he did the same thing with women that Bush is doing to the American people.

He was impeached. Being "impeached" is politically equivalent to being "indicted". It just means that the House of Representatives voted to impeach (i.e. "bring charges against") him. He was tried in the Senate, as per the Constitution, but not convicted and removed. Andrew Johnson and Clinton are the only two presidents to have ever been impeached (though Nixon probably would have been had he not resigned), but neither was convicted and removed from office.

there are two types of impeachment
one is a reprimand where you are not removed from office--that is what clinton got -- some of the above answers are wrong -- the impeachment itself IS the punishment--it is the only way to punish a president for wrongdoing and it is a disgrace to be impeached, however, everything about clinton is a disgrace so it was no big deal for him. clinton will go down in history as being impeached for wrongdoing while in office--that is on his record.
two is a reprimand AND removal from office. Clinton did not receive this.

Yes he was but the whole impeachment process took awhile so he was able to finish out his term in office before the impeachment took place

Yes, he was.
IMPEACHMENT is like an indictment. the House votes articles of Impeachment. so yes Clinton was impeached.
But then a trial takes place in the Senate. Clinton was ACQUITTED there, and so was not removed from office.
People get confused because they think impeachment is the same as removal. It is not.

He was impeached, but if they were to get him out of office, they would have had to had several votes in-order to get him out of office. Being impeached really does not mean a whole lot, it just means he got his hand slapped, and was called a bad boy for lying, and doing what he did. Truth be told, I think he enjoyed it all, and it was most likely done to get his husband/oops I mean wife Hillary elected in New York.

Yes, he was impeached. That doesn't necessarily mean automatic removal from office. Congress has to vote on the "Articles Of Impeachment".

Yes, he was impeached. However, that does not really mean anything. The important part is that the senate voted to not punish him. The same thing happened with Johnson (17th President) and Nixon.

To be impeached simply means to be charged or accused, which Bill Clinton was. He was not convicted of a crime.
