Ok, heres the low down on a catalytic converter.

All it does is cuts down on the exhaust emissions on the car.

In most (if not all) states, it is illegal to not have one. Although, if your state does not have state inspections or you know of someone who will still pass it without one.

As far as will anything bad happen? No, besides your fuel mileage will go down, and you car will loose some power. Small changes, but notable on long trips.

you'll gain 10% horsepower and ur check ur engine light will turn on but nothing bad will happen, but i won't pass the emission inspection, and in most of all the states it illegal not to have one.

well for 1 thing ,it wont pass inspection and it wont run right.
