i've been a full time care assistant since i left.

did 2 college courses before i started full time tho (gotta be 18 to be a carer in England) and i have a GNVQ and an NVQ LEVEL 2.

I left school 53 years ago when I was 16. The school leaving age then was 15 but I went to a commercial based school and our parents had to sign to say that we would stay on at school until we were 16.

I left school 43 years ago at 14 and a half. My father died and I was thrown into the working world at the deep end. You learn to grow up fast. I have done so many different jobs and never been fired once. Not bad ehh.

I left school at 16 I hated it. When I was at Academy you could get the scud for the slightest thing or the blackboard cleaner chucked at you thankfully I never got any of them. I do regret now that I left with only 4 O'Levels and didn't go onto further education I could have made something of myself. My son is in 5th year just know and I'm hoping he sticks with it and goes onto college.
I started working when I was 15 and I'm 42 now.

I left school in 1989 when I was 18. Went straight to University which I finished in 1993.
I feel really old now!

Crikey how old do i feel i left school 17 years ago im now 33, i spent 5 years at college i have a 16 year old son (who is wonderful) and i now work at a chiropractic clinic in staffordshire. P.S i loved school.

I left school at 16, which is when everyone in the UK leaves school! (they then get a job or go on to sixth form or college, then university, none of which I count as school :-P)
I left 15 years ago, yikes!!
