I would check at a clinic if you really want to get it right the 1st time. However are you 100% sure you want to use your friends hubby as this could create many problems in the future that you would not be able to think of right now as all you think of is baby must have one. Gay or Straight a broody woman only has one thing on her mind.
Try find a forum with other women in your position planning on doing it have done it. Do a bit of searching and get some background on things. Think before you jump as there are many others lives involved in this.

I had a lesbian friend who wanted a baby, she tried the turkey baster thing, it did not work. The sperm bank thing was expensive.
She chose to do it the old fashioned way. She had sex with a gay man and got pregnant. The added bonus is that the baby will also have a father figure.

If you're willing to go through pregnancy and childbirth and all of the attendant physical yuck that goes with it, you might as well drop your lesbianism for a few minutes and get a direct infusion of sperm from the source.

Well, if you have a moral objection to letting him come inside you (which by the way is nature's preferred method), you can always pour it in through some kind of funnel and tube system. After all, if your friend is ok with him fathering your child by giving his sperm, she should be ok with him masturbating to the brink of orgasm and then ejaculating in you. Of course, you could always go consult a fertility doctor about doing an in vitro.

Turkey Baster I think that even though you are a lesbian you should let your girlfriends hubby plant his seed in you the real way this will make it easiar to explain to your child how he/she was concieved compared to saying I used a Turkey Baster to make you I think any child would rather hear that mommy let a friend have sex with her the natural way Think about it

I don't know if this is something that you can do on your own, but i would suggest you speak to your doctor about this first and then see the options that you are given. I guess from the advice and the options given by a doctor, you can make your choice

What are you going to tell the child when Its older? Are you able to bring it up on your own, or will it have 2 mummys? Thats not natural, get a dog instead.
