Hello,
I have been dealing with IT Security for last 5 yrs. In my experience McAfee is the best Security suite for Home users. Norton is Memory resident and occupies 2% of your CPU resources while Norton occupies 20% to sometime 80% resources. McAfee has only 1 file which resides in Memory called Vshield. Norton has 3. I have McAfee in my Home PC and it works fine. Keep on updating the Software at every week. You are protected. Don't worry.

HardwareGuroo answer is correct, unlike funkid125's (which shows little understanding of spelling and no knowledge of McAfee). I use the McAfee Security Suite too, however I do like to use other programs for Spyware removal as I see that as McAfee's weak point - SpyBot Search and Destroy and LavaSoft AdAware are the best programs for spyware removal and CCleaner is the best that I have seen for removing temporary internet files (amongst other unneeded files) and registry problems (which has nothing to do with security, but it's a great bonus!) All three of these programs can be found and downloaded from www.download.com for free. These programs along with your McAfee security suite will leave your computer with the tightest security around!

Well I'm a novice user and not careful with what I search on the web and MacAfee has protected me fine so far. I would be more worried about downloading free software because there must be a catch.

In order for a firewall to be effective it has to block files from entering the BIOS,CPU and Winbond chip.To date none do.

at the start that's one twelve months. and you will deploy it on better than one computing device if u furnish diverse e mail addresses yet while there's a serial with it then u cant apply it to better than one computing device. I truly have it right here at homestead.
