Coming in early doesn't matter to many employers. And the fact that you are buying a house and getting married (or planning a wedding ... still won't matter to him/her). You're employer, for whatever reason, may not be impressed with your work or he/she may not like your personality. It may be time for you to move on. One possibility is to sit down and talk to your boss about these issues and see if he is willing to give you the time you need ... if not then you'll need to reenter the job search market and find something with a better opportunity and a boss that has a heart.

Some bosses are so inhuman. I worked for many like that. Just insist that you will make the time up or take a vacation day here and there if you have to. I really do think it's unfair the way people are treated at some jobs. It's almost not worth the price of gas going there. Maybe you can look on the side in the future for a better opportunity. Good luck.

Discuss changing your hours so that you are done with work an hour earlier each day. If you have to be there to answer phones or are responsible for call-in type stuff, you may have to get someone who is willing to cover that time.

Best wishes on your house, wedding, etc.

You might not be able to leave because you have important tasks to fulfill. Maybe if you got a co-worker to fill in for you and you tell your boss about it, things will work out.

tell your boss this and use vacation days if you have them. Tell him you will come in early if he does not know you already do.
