Can someone give me any tips on acrylic painting?

All I know is that it is easy to make your work seem "clowny" with acrylics. It is really hard to blend them. Watering the paints down does not work. If you seal you paint tray between uses, do not use tin foil. The tin foil never worked. It is usually better to use a ziplock bag. Try using a separate paper to check your blendings before applying to your piece. Also be careful that your paints are not in the extreme heat. Good luck.
