I see Mel Gibson has been arrested for insulting the Jews while drunk. OK?

I feel sorry for the dude. I suppose, looking at the photographs of the ever incresing destrucion of Lebanon and mounting death of women and children (720 to date),he burst out. Insulting any other group (Jews are a religious group, not a race) , French, German, Irish, Latinos, Catholics, Muslims, would have been OK. But insulting Jews, even if you are drunk at the time, is far more serious and the courts will no doubt punish him accordingly.

I suppose, even if the courts had no proof and did nothing, no doubt the Jews controlling the film making industry would see to it that he got no more work. Good bye career.

His offence is nearly as bad as denying the holocaust. Denying the existence of God is OK, but denying the holocaust is a serious crime.

Apparently Mell Gibson said that the Jews were responsible for all the wars in history !
He has now apologised abjectly, but it is not going to end there.

Insult is insult. The race/religion matters not. Further, he can't be prosecuted for speaking his mind, however, he will go to court for the D.U.I. and take his punishment accordingly.

You got that a bit wrong. He was arrested for drunken driving. In my book that is a crime worthy of being locked up for a long time, but thats beside the point.

He is being ridiculed for being anti-semetic and going off on a (non-jewish) officer as if he were Jewish. The other thing that is drawing a lot of attention is that it appears that the police report attempted to cover up the remarks made by Gibson, which normally would constitute assaulting an officer (you can curse around an officer, but never directly say F*** You to one).

I'm not sure how denying the holocaust is a crime at all. Not in america at least. I will be interested to see how this affects public opinion of him and his film career. Either no one will care or it will hurt him bad. Who knows. But who listens to celebs anyways.

i can't be live he did that. i read the original report. how could he possibly think those statements would not get out? some regular guy--you never would have heard about it. come on--you're MEL GIBSON! i hate to judge, but how stupid are you?
