The problem is your shoes. Cars are faster than you because of the amount of rubber on the tires. If you get shoes that have 20-25 lbs. of rubber in them, then you will have enough spring in your step to beat the car next time. Give it a try.

Unless the car was traveling at a low speed there's no way you could run with it or farther than it. If you could beat a car going at a highway speed, please submit your name for the Guinness Book of World Records - that is definitely an accomplishment (:

The reason why Katie beats you when running, is that your muscles arn't strong enough. Given time, and working out, you can beat Katie. Given time and working out, your upper body on your arms and hands- will also be stronger than Katie's.

It's because you are a quart low on oil. Also, check your spark plugs and distributor cap. I've found these steps help me run so fast I can beat a monorail!!!!
