It usually doesn't matter. The letter carriers in the area of the post office boxes pick them up while they are delivering mail on their route. So, they take all that mail with them back to the post office at the end of their day. Sorry, I just read you said Post office. That COULD be quicker. It depends on when they clean out the bin, get it sorted, drive it to the airport and get it on the plane. If they only have one or two deliveries to the airport, you have to make sure yours is in before the first one.

The mail at the post office may go out faster than the mail carrier picks yours up and gets it back there.

My mail carrier comes at 1:30. Mail does not leave post office till 4:00 so it don't matter to me

I dont have solid proof, but i dont think it matters where you mail it, the post office has a list of what you need to do to make mail go faster.

The USPS isn't allowed to grant mail out over the counter until the mail is "on carry". carry mail is for use via citizens that are away on trip and don't decide for the mail dropped at their field. An "authorization letter" from you would be ineffective. Your fiancee won't be able to get your examine from the placed up place of work. she will have the skill to ought to attend until the mail is dropped at your mail field.

probably if you brought it to the post office (I know it is where I live) because otherwise you have to wait for the mail carrier to bring it back and the mail my have already been dispatched for the day!
