This is a very ignorant question. In the first place, it's generally conceded that women invented agriculture, domesticated animals, invented spinning and weaving, invented pottery, and so on. The first poet in any surviving written language was a woman writing in Sumerian. Women bear at least half the responsibility for inventing religion and law., and women were certainly involved in smithing in certain areas.
Marie Curie won a Nobel Prize for her researches into radium. Clara Barton founded the Red Cross, and Florence Nightingale pretty much invented modern nursing.
As for businesswomen, do you think Mary Kay is male? Helen Gurley Brown sure made a lot of money on Cosmo. And Burt's Bees is run by a woman.
The list of successful, intelligent, creative women is too long to pretend that it doesn't exist.

Women that say women are smarter than men are just as dumb as men who say men are smarter than women. There is no difference between male and female brain chemisty that would make one superior over the other. I will however agree that it appears that throughout history there have been more successful men than women. The reason for this is that woman were given less respect in the old'in days and were not allowed sufficient resources to invent things or become a successful buissnesswoman. The truely determined woman did however succeed. In today's world however where it is becoming more common for women to study things like engineering and business I think that the male/female success ratio will balance itself out.

Women are not more intelligent than men.
Many women are successful in business and have invented things, however the constant oppression by men in patriarchal societies, and the biological role as the mother have denied many millions of intelligent women the platform to pursue careers. If a woman is not allowed to be educated or get a job what chance does she have to show her intelligence in the context you are talking about?

What country do you live in?

Actually a woman by the name of Nancy Johnston was the first inventer of the ice cream churn. And there are plenty of successful businesswomen out there. Martha Stewart, Mary Kay Ash (the cosmetics), Suze Orman, Estee Lauder (cosmetics), Coco Chanel (fashion designer), Sarah Walker (inventor and entrepenuer), Judith Ragen (publisher). And don't forget the mastermind behind Ebay Meg Whitman. The list goes on and on.

Women are intelligent, inventors, and businesswomen. Whether they are at the top of a company or a mom we are successful no matter what.

The circular saw, the electric hot water heater, the elevated railway, the engine muffler, kevlar (used to make bulletproof vests), the locomotive chimney, the medical syringe, and the windshield wiper are just a few of the many inventions made by women. And there are plenty of successful businesswomen in the world.

We CAN be successful businesswomen, and guess who invented the disposable diaper! A Woman!

As for early inventions, men battered women, and made them feel low. They "belonged in the home" and not in the public's eye. That is why a woman didn't invent a lightbulb.

You are going to be killed one day I think.

Women are not more intelligent than men. Intelligence isn't measured by gender. I think you will find that women have invented things and many are successful business women. Hope that answers your "question."

Do you mean to say that Martha Stewart is a man? Oprah Winfrey is a man? Leona Helmsly is a man?

I wonder about the intelligence of the asker, to post such a question without even a little thought or research.
