I used to love the clique, a record and that stuff however Steph even out shines JK Rowling via some distance. I can't look forward to August second! I'm counting the times till the primary bankruptcy and canopy artwork pop out (might 31) and I wish to peer the film although the forged will in no way are living as much as my not possible requisites. While I am obsessed over Twilight, the Host could also be well. I am unconditionally and irevocably in love with Edward Anthony Masen Cullen, born June twentieth, in Chicago Illinios to Elizabeth and Edward Masen... I hate Jacob Black. But I additionally like every other authors too b/c after I learn Twilight, my buddy received me studying REAL vampire books (like Dracula idea that one was once all me...) and I like Ellen Schreiber or nevertheless you spell it, P.C. and Kristen Cast, L.J. 3. For more oldstyle fantasy - Tamara Pierce
4. Mary Janice Davidson - she's good, but you dont say how old you are teens wise....your maturity level in reading a big difference between suggesting books for a 14yr old as opposed to a 18yr old.
5. Darren Shan(spell?) ive heard he's VERY good
6. Garth Nix

Anything by Dianna Wynne Jones tends to be really good, especially "The Chronicles Of Chrestomanci."
I'd also suggest reading books by Robin McKinley, Gail Carson Levine, and Shannon Hale. A good classic is "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. And, if you want to wow your English teachers, read "Anna Karenina". It's long, and often slow, but it's still pretty good, and highly respected.
They're already mentioned, but I would also second the suggestion of The Chronicles Of Narnia, Harry Potter, and Lord Of The Rings. These are all really good, interesting books, and all of them have allusions that you can discuss with your teachers.

Major Media Reviews:
Publishers Weekly
STARRED Review. A fast pace, sly humor, amusing dialogue and a richly researched background lift Baxley's fantasy, the first of a new series set in medieval Britain. When Merlin's long-ago apprentice Kruzurk Makshare (aka the Boozer) receives a dreamlike visitation from the legendary mage, he learns he must destroy another former apprentice, the villainous Seed of Cerberus. To do so will require a visit to the demon-guarded Blackgloom Keep. Enter young Daynin McKinnon, who discovers a curious rune-covered headstone, which may be the fabled Blackgloom Bounty, and brings it to Kruz's attention. Kruz believes it will provide entry into the fortress, while Daynin hopes the sale of the stone will restore his family's fortunes. The colorful cast of good guys and ne'er-do-wells includes the Pictish ghost of Brude McAlpin liberated from his tomb, assorted pursuing Caledonians and a bemused Prior Bede, whose monastery serves as a hiding place for the Blackgloom Bounty. Suitable for fantasy enthusiasts of all ages.
