crazy_one you're really starting to grind my gears. I don't like Ballack because he dives and he's violent. I do have something against the squad that's why I didn't want them to win.DUH

Zare K obviously you don't know what the heck you're talking about. I barely say anything about the dude at all unless the question is "who is your favorite player?" or"who is the best current player". My gosh! I barely defend him I defend Cristiano Ronaldo more then I do Ronaldinho and C. Ronaldo isn't even one of my favorite players and he most certainly isn't the best. I think you have me confused with someone else. I do not talk about him like he was God.

crazy_one 2002 WC Germany cheated against us (Cameroun) because whenever we marked a goal they said it was offside. I forgave them but then after what they did to Argentina they became unforgiven. yeah Ballack is a good player but he's VIOLENT & he DIVES. he dives more then everyone else with the exception of Henry and Prso.

It really bugs (and saddens) me all the Ronaldinho bashing that has been going on. Players like R. Gaucho are put on pedestals and we tend to forget that he/they is/are human. The fact that he didn't have a good world cup doesn't undermine his talent and what he is capable of. People who call him "over rated" are people who aren't objectively evaluating his skills and what he is capable of. I guess it could be jealousy. Those who loved him and now bash him are probably just disappointed, not that this makes it okay. I don't think any player should be "bashed." They are just people, doing their jobs. Some deserve to be criticized, yes, but not bashed.

Why are you protecting Ronaldinho so much anyways? Do you have a clue about soccer yourself, or is that the only player you know of and that's all you can talk about. You come out talking about Ronaldinho as if he is a God. He's a soccer player. I've seen numerous commercials on him, and how well his ball placement is including his juggling skills. I did not see those at a time in need when he was playing in the World Cup or in the Champions League Final. In 430 minutes of play in the World Cup he only came out with 1 assist. Taking a mind boggling amount of free kicks and corners. I can name you many more players I find to be more influential and playmaking than Ronaldinho. I watch all Leagues within the European area, two of those players come from the Ghana International teams, Michael Essien (Chelsea) and Stephen Appiah (Fenerbahce). I also find other Brazilians to be harder workers such as Kaka (AC Milan) and the upcoming Alex de Souza (Fenerbahce) these two players are in their prime and I am positive you will hear about them in the near future. As I believe the midfield is an important role, I believe more into the defense. I believe a leader of defense has a more important role. Which the lists goes on from there from John Terry (Chelsea), Carlos Puyol (Barcelona), Kolo Toure (Arsenal) his brother Yaya Toure (Olympiakos) again the list can go on. So before you go on trying to protect Ronaldinho think how many other great players there are. And saying he's the best player in the world is an over statement, you can even say the same thing for the FIFA / Coca-Cola Ranking on teams. The reason behind why people are bashing on the player you think is a God is because he didn't produce anything, people talked on ESPN how you will see a difference, I didn't see anything special. He passed the ball 5 yards, which pisses people off. People watched the game to see good stuff, passes that have extreme angles, shots from 25-30 yards out with the speed and power that we saw from Torsten Frings (Werder Bremen) of Germany in the opening game. People wanted to see a leader, as many players in the midfield wearing #10 do. I did not see leadership from Ronaldinho and I believe and know many people agree with me. On the case of bashing Ballack? Ballack wasn't looked upon as the greatest player in the world, so many people didn't look into detail of his every shot. Plus he was taking shot after shots in some games but they just weren't going in. I believe the amount of money these players are making they should be able to make those shots. I can bash on Ballack too, but I just wanted to tell you to keep your mind open on other players besides Ronaldinho.

Because Ronaldhino played like crap at the tournament, proving he is overrated. And you want to bash Ballack? What has HE done to you? He actually played well, not as well as he did in 2002, but he still did well. Ballack is great, and he dives? Are you blind? Have you seen how Cristiano Ronaldo is? He is the diver! You just have something against the German team don't you? Well what is that you have against Germany then? You just can't stand them because they are awesome? Did you see how well Schweinsteiger and Klose did? Frings, Podolski...they have many fantastic players. How great a goalkeeper Lehmann is? Germany is the best!!!!! JENS LEHMANN IS A HERO!!!!! DEUTSCHLAND!!!!! What Germany did to Cameroon? Please, don't be ridiculous. What Germany did to Argentina? Miroslav Klose's goal in the 80th minute was spectacular, and Jens Lehmann in the penalty shootout was absoultely amazing!!!! Germany beat Argentina fair and square!!!! Lehmann is the best!!
Schweinsteiger against Portuagal was fantastic!!!! Klose is an
awesome striker that is why he won Golden Shoe!!! Ballack is a great captain!!!! Podolski is best young player!!! Odonkor is a rising force!!! Germany is full of amazing players!!!! Germany is a team described by FAIR PLAY!!!! Germany all the way!!!! Germany does not need to cheat because they are AWESOME!!!! Germany didn't get the award for fair play because FIFA sucks, that's why!!! DEUTSCHLAND FOREVER!!!!! JENS LEHMANN FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

there are as many reasons as there are people posting here so who knows. some people just don't like him, even making ugly remarks about his looks or lack of it. the brazil fans have vented out on ronaldinho for his poor performance in the wc but that's to be expected. then there are those who support other players and think the only way to do that is to step on ronaldinho which i think is unfair. anyway, i still think the world of him even if he played below par during the wc. just like the best of the lot, he has his good and bad days. the qualifiers and euro campaign were brutal so i don't expect him to be always supernatural out there, just occassionally would be fine, =). anyway, there's just so much negativity here. me, i'll just focus on the league season and hope for better games from my fave teams and players.

sadly this is what happens as users run dry of legitimate questions to ask. Love him or hate him, you cannot deny his immense skills and talent. Fans tend to put these players on such a high pedestal and then criticise when they cannot perform at peak 100% of the time. The side were ill prepared and not totally fit at this tournament and I think people just kept expecting him to pull a rabbit out of his hat. He is one player, who had a team of talented individuals around him that failed to be cohesive as a team. He cannot carry Brazil, the nation or Brazil the team, on his own. But that seems to be what people expected him to do.

I flew half way around the world to see that magic that he does when he plays football... and nothing! He let his team down and he let his fans down. He is the best football player in the world and he did not show it. Besides, it has been over a year since he scored a goal while wearing the verde-amarella.

Let me tell you one thing..those who understand football will always admit Ronaldinho's skills and talent but dumb **** like Crazy_One will always say bad things about him. Be Cool !

The funny thing is that is not his fault. He is not to blame for people making him a star when the truth is, he is only an ordinary player.
