Will probably go with Dell as I'm familiar with them and have had good experiences using their stuff

Personally I would avoid dell like the plague. We had nothing but trouble with our dell. We now have an Acer and it is brilliant. The tech we bought it from also uses Acer himself.

If you are in the USA try www.aspiretechnet.com. This guy is absolutely brilliant.

It doesnt matter what you get as long as you get high definition sound with it. I have high def in my laptop and it makes a hugefuckin difference.

You can go with pretty much anything and put in an aftermarket high definition card for about $100-$200, but the laptop above is a much better deal since it comes with a huge hard drive, alot of ram, and a great graphics card.

As a former Dell employee...
I would say go for the Inspiron XPS m2000

i've seen a lot of DJs use macs... but maybe you can get one of those when you have a lot of $$$.

look in the music mags they have lots of sites advertising just what you want

you should buy anything with amd 64 this is what i use... hope it helps
