Just tell her, your young years will go by SO FAST. I've regretted not being as outgoing in school.
The worst thing that could happen is that she does think you're wierd.... There's other girls you'll become friends with. Just be friendly and yourself.

if you are good good friends, and you are both able to tell each other anything, you should be able to tell her with her understanding it, regardless of whether she likes you the same way, but if it's you and her hanging out like buddy buddy, where you are not able to tell her your problems, we might have repercussions

that happens a lot. be sure you want her to know you fancy her coz it could complicate things. think it through forst. its not wierd but you may both feel wierd once its out there.
