No, it just doesn't cover very well. One of the most over-hyped cosmetics I have ever seen!

I bought it for the same purpose. My freckles were never TOTALLY masked, however i did get darker shade and that seemed to help.
Your best bet, is to go to a store that sells it and have the clerks there assist you.

your applying it wrong - i have dark sun spots and it covers it.
