A good source to find out this info is to go to Amazon and buy some of John Maxwell's books on leadership. He pretty much sets the gold standard in the corporate world today.

Management by Imagination. Yuppies who hid away in college instead of being promoted from their experience on the job imagine that only morons work under them, so they think they can figure out the workers' job conditions just by sitting in an office. Snobs think theorizing in an air-conditioned office tower is more instructive than first-hand knowledge of what is really going on.
