The first indians to arrive in trinidad came on a boat called the Fatel Razack, in the early 1800\s after slavery was abolished. they were imported as indentured labourers by british plantation owners to farm sugar cane on contract. After theier contract expired they would be given land as part of their severence as opposed to the newly freed black (african) slaves who were only given freedon.
The plantation owners imported indentured workers from China and Portugal as well but they did not work as well or as hard in the hot sun as all the cane was harvested by hand.
Bombay and Calcutta would be the soure of most of the indians in the West Indies/ Caribbean. There are large(as much as half) population of Indians in Guyana, Trinidad and Jamaica nand Surinam.
Most of the West indian indians do not have real connections with Mother India and consider themselves Trini/Jamaican etc
similar to an afro/american.
wherever your friend is from, thats where she's from and thts whats important, innit.
hope this helps

Try typing properly as well how the f uck do you expect to be taken seriously if you cannot even spend the effort to phrase your question correctly?
The Caribbean is no where near India. The West Indies However lie in the Caribbean sea. She probably means she is a West Indian Which would be correct as she would be both Caribbean and west Indian.

The Caribbean and India are on opposite sides of the world. Maybe you mean the West Indies? They are a long chain of islands in the Caribbean.

India has a different language spoken in every state. It depends what language she speaks within her family.
Punjabi, marathi, orria, bengali, marwari, gujarati or hindi. The language and the state determines which part of India a person comes from. Hindi and English are commonly spoken by almost all. Hindi is the national language of India.
