I know some people that declare that they are my true friends. However, they are never satisfied with me. It seems to me that they enjoy to find some mistake in me and in that way to make me inferior to them. are they my true friends?
I also have other kinds of friends that always see me better than I am. They are much better than the first.

The first time you mentioned are called fair-weather friends which isnt the same at all. Youre right. The Bible says there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother and those are gold. Most of us can count THOSE on one hand. Acquaintances are fun but true friends that stick with you when you're not perfect are worth so much more.

If these people who are your so call friends never seem satisfied, they aren't your friends. I would stick with the ones that see you better than you are. There are things that we might not like about one another and still be the greatest of friends, but not if they act as if they are "above" you. Seems as though maybe they have a their own insecurities and are using you to make themselves feel better.

Watch out for the green-eyed monster. I have had friends for over 30 years now. All kinds of them. And the most dangerous ones are girls who are jealous of you. In my case, I have long, naturally blonde hair and big boobs. Whenever I would get attention from guys for these reasons, the claws came out. Ignore it unless it becomes too hurtful. The friends who don't play this game are aware that everyone is differrent. One girl may be pretty in one way, while another girl is pretty in another. Hang around them more and the other ones less and you will be a healthier person for it.

No, that is just a form of being used. It is also very self destructive hanging out with friends like that. People that always emphasize your negative attributes can bring you down and cause depression. I would suggest finding nicer friends. you will be MUCH happier and yourself a better person because in the long run you usually turn into who you hang out with.

You have to find out what makes someone a friend. To me a friend is someone who you have fun with, can laugh with, can socialise with, makes you feel good for who you are, and who will support you no matter what. If these friends don't do that then they are not friends worth having.

The first people aren't worth your friends. Your situation reminds me of a quote from a senior at my school "Those that can't accept you for who you are, aren't worth your time."

Friends accept you just tyhe way you are with or without flaws they nknow your faults but are you friends anyway. You shouldn't have to try and please them. If they are your true friends they wouldn't make you feel like writing questions like this one you'd already know if they were your friends.
