I'm really hurt and upset at my best friend. This weekend my twin sister flew in From Arizona to Michigan for her baby shower. Now my best friend knows my sister (that is how we met) and she knew that I wanted her to come to the shower to see her. Well she didn't come to the shower or to the get together I had at my house for her. Now I know she was busy that day but she knew of this shower atleast a month ago and her thing just came up with in the week. She just moved into a new place a couple weeks ago and decided that she had to finish THIS weekend. Should I be upset that she didn't even bother calling her or making it a point to see her? Like I said I'm just really hurt by this action of her's. I also talked to her after the shower and told her I was hurt that she didn't come and she said she would try to make it to there get together and didn't even come or call. So I feel like I have done so much for her and that she couldn't even do this one thing.

I understand why you would be upset. The least that she could do was pick up a phone and call if she was unable to come. If that was her having a get together I'm quite sure that she would expect you to come.

You have every right to be upset. I know you've already confronted your friend, but I think you should call her and invite her to come up for a girls day out, see what she says. Go to a spa, get your nails done, shop.. things like that. If she comes, talk to her, have a good time. If she makes up another excuse not to come, then I think that probably means she doesn't want to be friends. Good Luck!

You have every right to be upset because you told her how you felt and still she made no effort in showing up even when she said she would try, she could have called.
