If your back yard is adjacent to woods then try walking inot the woods several feet and putting out a deer lick and corn, apples, beets, etc to attract them. Then as you see the deer are eating your goodies move it closer to the edge of the woods near to your house. It should not take long for you to see activity.
Keep in mind that during rutting season inviting the deer into your backyard is dangerous. They may charge you when you are outside or they may charge at your windows if they can see themselves reflected at certain times of day.
Deer are beautiful creatures and a joy to behold but they do need caution as rule when luring them near to your home.

All deer love the smell of honeysuckle, rotten apples, acorns,& molasses in the fall, Bucks like salt blocks mostly in spring during antler growth. Also try to limit human odor as mush as posible until the deer get use to you.Deer will eat almost any vegtable or greenleaved plant that grows.

I would not advise doing this. Deer can be very destructive. In many states, deer baiting is illegal. Check with you state game and fish before attempting.
