i do think that he is overrated. he may look good, just not that good as everyone makes him sound. he does act pretty good but still people make him sound way better that he is. i got told he was sooooo hot and sooo good at acting. so i went and saw the pirates of the carabien movie nad i was dissapointed. he wasnt as good as every one made him up to be. but that is just my opinion.....

i love Johnny Depp, i don't think of i'm captivated with him even if. The tweenies have a bent as an instance to fanaticism each and each and every time they see a clean celeb of their eyes. look on the terrible actors like Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale and Miley Cyrus that they beg for his or her digital mail, # and so on... it merely ruins it for each individual. Johnny Depp has given tremendous perfomances in each and every action picture he's been in (moderate exception for secret Window) yet now through POTC video clips, all he's conventional for is Captain Jack, that is a real shame.

Dude.... before Pirates, he was considered one of the most ... underrated .... actors in Hollywood. He didn't do a whole lot of conventional roles, but he blew people away in things like, say, Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He is most certainly not overrated... he's finally getting the credit he deserves as a talented actor.
Plus... he's crazier than a bag of squirrels.

no Johnny Depp is Hollywood itself, one of the only great actors left. He is genius and soo talented.

Perhaps as a celeb. But at least he IS a fine and very versatile actor. Think about some of the other over-rated actors at their high points - Don Johnson, Mr. vanity himself; Stallone, yeeesh! whatta dud; Melanie Griffith! None of them can act!

Not at all. I love his characters (Capt Jack, Edward Scissorhands, the author in the secret window, etc.)
I think he is a great actor, maybe even underrated until the Pirates of the Carribean came out.
