I'm moving out of the province this year, and I want to make a statement at the new school I'm going to. Me and my sister will be the new girls, but everybody in our class kind of knows us because we went on a exchange trip with them, for two weeks. It'll be a small school, so nothing too drastic please!
Anyway, I was thinking about what kind of clothes or hairstyles I could change, maybe. If you have any ideas, let me know! Anyway, I'll be in grade 8. I'm six feet tall, have thick, brown, wavy hair, that's just a few inches past my sholders, but longer on my back. It has blond highlights in it, but I could change them, I'm going to see my hairdresser soon. So if you have cool ideas about how I can mix and match clothes or fix my hair, or even something to change my personality...Thanks! i would find a new cool shoe style at payless that you have never seen before, then wear them to school for about 2 weeks, then have your friends start wearing them. soon people will catch on and buy them. you will starty a new fashion revelotion. i am almost positive it works because i started a new shoe style at my school ( i'm in 7th grade)

I wouldn't suggest making too drastic of a change, because what happens if you cut all of your hair off or dye it and rip holes in all of your clothes, then decide that you dislike the route you've taken? Not good. Start small. Try parting your hair differently. If you're satisfied with the reaction of your peers and are happy with the change yourself, take another step. Get your hair trimmed or straighten it or something, or try something new with your make-up. See where I'm going with this? I hope that helped.

The best way to make a statement is by being who you are. The moment you go out of you way to do something for attention, you lose credibility with everyone. The more we try to look different the more we look like everybody else.... Self esteem is the greatest friend to one who is looking for love and acceptance

OK- go read the book "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnigie. orginally written in 1936, its been updated a few times- but people are people and they seldom change even from generation to generation.

Just get a very modern, fashionable outfit, a nice natural makeup look and a great haircut. You'll look really pulled together and it will make an impact!
