...look out the window..... straight up. How many birds do you see in the sky (excluding flocks of the 'flying rats'), you know, just in general.... now ONE of them dies...where did it land. Hmmm.
A LOT of ground area per capita. One small bird lost in a square mile of so of land... not easy to see - come across them even less frequently.

the majoirty are obviously eaten by other animals, part of the food cycle, and the old circle of life...
but i also know another place were they often go to die, apart from sea (if thats true) and that bushes....we found a dead seagul in one once.....

Cats eat them...dogs eat them...whatever isn't eaten by them the ants take care of pretty quickly.
