I have tried all my 37 years to be happy with a man. Been married three times and Have 3 wonderful kids. I have now been divorced for 6 years and have dated during this time with no luck at all. To make a long story short, I fell in love with a woman. I have never felt so comfortable with anyone before. For the first time in my life I feel good in my own skin. She brings out the best in me. We are so happy together! I could go on and on about how much this has done for me as a person but here's the problem I'm facing. I finally told my best friend about it and she was not happy about it at all !! She said that the bible teaches that it is a sin against God and that it was un-natural and I knew it was and that I needed to end it now ! She said I was playing with fire. She said it was a demon from the pits of hell. I felt so horrible! I have been happier than I have ever been and after I talked to her I was so broken! Please let me know what you think about this. THANKS

My mother in law was married twice and is now living with a women. It was hard on my husband to accept at first. His sister and her husband are of the same opinion as your friend. And my my husband grandmother, his moms mom is a minister for a gay church in TX. So I have seen , heard and lived all areas of what you are going threw. My opinion and this is just mine,
You have raised your kids and done your part. You are of an age to make a adult decision about your sexual orientation. You still love your family, it has nothing to do with them. You need to live the life that has been chosen for you. You would never want to make anyone upset but life happens and they should be loving and supportive. Let her know the bible also says to not judge. Just as you would not want anyone to destroy the dreams of your loved ones don't allow them to destroy yours. I hope this helps. Keep your chin up and enjoy your new life. You owe it yourself.

Why have you Not been happy with a man all your life. Perhaps you have too much expectations. Lower your expectation level and you will definitely be happy. Love is about living not getting.

I have seen miracles being performed by Benny Hinn in the name of Christ. That made me a form believer. Yes its a sin to be gay as what the bible teaches us.

It would be nice of you changed and found a man instead. Remember expecting all the time never works out in the long term in relationships.

If your friend can't support you, then she is not your true friend. How one person interprets sin and how another interprets it is another....I think it would be a much greater sin to not allow yourself to be happy (finally)...and what about the whole thing with not being able to judge someone, or being able to love someone despite their differences....if she has that much conviction in her faith, then she should know she is in the wrong for judging you...here is an article that I found that you may find interesting...

In my opinion you have to do what makes YOU happy. If you spend your life worrying about what people think/feel you will not be happy. If your best friend is truely that..your best friend she will come around. It sounds to me that you tried the marriage thing..it didnt work clearly. So if this lady makes you happy go for it.. nobody can make you happy but you!!! I hope it works out for you

your mind can tell you what you musn't do, but your heart can tell you what you must. life's too short to be unhappy, accept who you are and cut out people who can't, not much of a friend if she doesn't want to see you happy x i wish you every happiness x
