Not too long ago I received an email (and have deleted the email :-( ) saying something about a way to get a phone number for free rather than calling 4-1-1 and being charged. Does anyone know the number?

call 1 800 Free 411 :) I love it!!! It just takes an extra 10-25 seconds to listen to their ad press 2 so you can hear the number you originally requested!!!

0 will connect you to the operator who can (sometimes) help you. It is usually free for look ups, but they charge to direct connect. This may differ depending on your area.
