4 years of undergrad, 3-4 years of Law School plus the 30-50,000 dollar tuition for each year of Law School. Before being a lawyer you should work in a law office first to see if you will really like it because most people find out that being a lawyer sucks.

in the words of one lawyer: "Now I'm working at "mega firm," making 5x as much as I did as a prosecutor, and I HATE MY F*CKING JOB!!! ...and, I can't leave, because I'm handcuffed to my debt."

"If you're going to attend law school, know what you're getting yourself into. If you can't handle the debt, don't go for the prestigious (read: expensive) education...because if you do, prepare for a wonderful (read: f*cking sh*tty!) life at a corporate law firm because that's the only way to pay off your debt."

"For those of you that don't know, I am a partner in one of the largest law firms in the world (measured by either revenue or # of lawyers). I had two associates pull all-nighters last night. I doubt either of them has slept more than 3 or 4 hours any night this week. I wonder if they are regretting their decision to go to law school? I'd ask, but I don't really care."

If you go full time, it will take you 4 years to earn a Bachelor's degree, and an additional 3 years of law school, 7 years total.

This is true in the US, but I'm not sure about elsewhere, it might vary.

Also, check out the Six year JD Dual Major degree offered by George Washington School of Law. You must write to them to determine their requirements for admissions from high school. No LSAT requirements however the current costs are at 55K per year.

No college is really required, all you need to do is pass the Bar Exam.
