And why do you feel that way? Please, let us not make this about Republicans versus Democrats. Educated answers only as this is to inspire bipartisan thought.
Most arguments against Global Warming are that the scientists who say it is happening are hacks or just meteorologists. Would NASA hire a guy and keep him on for 30 years if that is all he was? Furthermore, would they keep him in position to research and release official press reports on Global Warming?

He has had those who disagree with him:

But most on the board are connected to energy companies, either directly or through lobbying.
And if it doesn't exist, why are our most staunch ally and the conservative governor of Califormia taking measures to specifically fight Global Warming and Greenhouse gases?

I just wanted to point out that most of the arguments saying it doesn't exist suggest it doesn't exist because it is colder somewhere. This is from people who don't read up on what we are being told global warming does.
Brief synopsis:
Global Warming is supposed to melting icecaps that in turn send more methane into the air. The gases, because they were in ice, are cooler and affect atmospheric pressure which causes more cooling in some areas and more heat in others.
Read up on it before you answer. This is why I requested educated responses.

I dont know for sure. But I do know this, although we are having one of the worst heat waves the country has ever seen, I do remember not to long ago New York experiencing a blizzard large enough that they were discussing it on the late show (less than 5years ago) And less than 3years ago Texas had one of the coolest summers in my lifetime (85deg in AUGUST!!) My thought is this, if global warming were really occuring at the rate they say would those events have occured. I dont know for sure b/c I am not a climatologist. I do recycle & reuse, car pool, leave my A/C off when I can, and the same with my heater. I also keep the temps and the most efficient possible. I drive an economy car, (would buy a hybrid but this one is paid off, and I plan on driving it till the wheels fall off. Sorry I am biz person first)
I cant say that it is or isnt. This is how I feel: Isnt it better safe than sorry?
What if the Global Warming advocates are right? Then we should probably do everything that we can to reduce it's affects.
If the Global Warming advocates are wrong...? Are we that much worse off by living a lifestyle that is more in tune with the world and the environment? I dont think so, b/c the pure economics of it suggest that it's the best way to go. In basic economics you learn that supply is always definite while demand is infinite. By living lifestlyes that are more efficient we not only reduce the theoretical effect of global warming but reduce what we use in our resources. Natural resources are limited. Period, there is no question about it. This is one of the many things that has contributed to the cost of energy being so high. B/c in years past we didnt conserve. Resources were more abundant. Now we are paying the price. What will our grand children and great grand children do?
Nothing but good can come of requiring better stewardship of our world. IMO (sorry i am christian) the Lord Gave us the world and gave us dominion over it to take care of it and it's inhabbitants. IMO we are doing a lousy job.

it does not exist,
tempretures get high in the cities, where the population increases every year and with cars and others the tempratures go several part of a degree up. this means what you call global warming happens only in the major cities -- island effect? but the temprature else where outside the city remains the same.
i have no idea where i read this before, but i know since the beginning of recording tempratures (first country in the world is usa, after the civil war-- i want to point out that the meausring was happening with the most unreliable instruments that were available at that time, a meterologist for exemple went outside to a place and read the temprature once a week at a certain time) -- if you come and make a comparision to the tempratures of that time and to them nowdays, the only difference you will see is only half a degree of fahrenheit and that in 140 years.
this what you see is only media manipultion, donot believe them, it is only lies,
you say some ice of mountains melts away and it never comes back because of global warming, - - real reason: some guys cut trees near mountains, that is why the temprature gets higher and the icecaps melt away
i donot know, but from a reliable source i found out that the sea levels rises only one and a half inch each decade,

I don't know much about it, but I do think it exists. I don't know about the scientific aspect of it, but I do know that here in Ohio where there is usually 4 very distinct seasons, now there is only pretty much 2 seasons. Winter and summer. I think it has to do with Global Warming. Our heat index is always higher now. Used to be that if it was 90 degrees outside then the heat index was about 93. But like today...The temperature is 90 degrees but the heat index is 107! " In northern Ohio!!! I don't even know if I answered this question right because I don't know exactly what it is, but oh well. I also did not know that it was under debate....I thought it was just a fact of life.

I think we are affecting the planet with Global Warming. However, I don't think it is an explanation for every heatwave or every little thing that looks out of the ordinary in the world. We should be careful to blaim every little thing on Global Warming, as some things just may be longterm trends that we just don't understand. Our records don't go far-enough back to know Earth's trends.
That said, we should definitely try to limit Global Warming through reasonable laws.

Do you seriously have to ask why a government employee has kept a job for over 30 years? It's the government! :-)
Seriously, while I can admit that global warming is occuring, I don't see the proof that humanity is the cause.
While some believe that the current global warming trend is due to human interference with our planet, I believe that this warming trend is just that - a meteorological warming trend that will eventually go away. There is evidence going both ways and one side doesn't have enough proof to disprove the other.
that's the way I see it, at least.

i glance at it this way. If guy is inflicting the earth to grow to be warmer with the aid of all of the vehicle exhaust and so on. that's supposedly the reason at the back of the warming then how did the Ice Age end whilst there have been no vehicles to pollute the air and reason temps to upward push? The Earth could be getting warmer although this is completed that interior the previous so i do no longer see the reason for alarm or the would want accountable all people.

The earth was once a tropical hothouse. The planet has been warming back up since the last ice age. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out, but a whole hell of a lot of grant money pours into researching it, doesn't it?

Every few million years, the Earth goes through global warming followed by an ice age. We are way overdue for an ice age. It's just the Earth's way of fixing itself, but we are definitely helping speed things up.

There's no where near enough proof to show it does exist...one of my friends even stuided the glaciers and yes some of them got smaller but at the same time some of them got larger to compensate for what was getting smaller...they are talking about millions of years and how can u compare 30 years to millions of years...this is probably just a natural cycle the Earth goes through...

Global warming doesn't explain why the past winter was so much colder in so many places. I have an alternate theory.... I think people are getting so fat out there - skewed towards extra weight in North America, that it's tilting the earth's axis... this would explain why in winter, it's colder, and in summer, it's hotter.
