Something right around 1000 per day at the moment but it is due to actually SLOW DOWN a bit in the next few months because those remaining are healthier than those that have passed recently. Make sense?

Estimates vary between 1000 - 2000 a day. That sounds like a lot, but remember that nearly every European and Asian (plus US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil) nation fielded a military during the six years (longer if one counts the Sino-Japanese conflict as "WW2"). So it's pretty much indicative of that population group as a whole.
Better health practices, and medical care have actually reduced this number than say,the life expectancies of WW1 veterans.
