They won't reduce heat. They reduce glare or give privacy. Good luck with the heat wave out there.

Yes it does reduce the heat. I have my car windows tinted to the legal limit. Ask the tint shop which is the limit or call the local police department. You can get a fix-it ticket for having them too dark. My brother's gotten two of them over the years & I was in his car the last time he got pulled over. Make sure to ask the shop about warranty limits. The tint I have is now peeling, is barely 3 years old & the shop won't replace it, claiming the warranty is up, despite the paperwork stating lifetime replacement. The last tint lasted 10 years by a different shop that's now out of business. Shop around for the best price & ask to speak to satisfied customers or see their work on other cars.

Tinting does indeed reduce heat inside an automobile. Depending on states, there are regulations as to how dark you may tint your windows, and wether you can tint your front windows. California does not allow front windows tinted at any shade degree. You may install a clear UV protectant on your front windows.

Not really heat gain inside of the car while driving mostly comes into the car thru the exhaust system and engine. Light and UV rays are different! Tinting really saves the interior tops of the rear seat backs and color of the seats. I live in Texas the inside temp of the car just sitting in the sun isn't much different tinted or non tinted. Color of the car also does not make as much as 10 degrees difference white or black color

Yes! be sure to find the legal limit in your state. the darker the better the effectiveness. but also the more attention you get by the authorities. after having tint you will hate being in any automobile with out it. and you can tint any type of glass. windows at home, boats, mirrors ect. good luck=)

It may lower temperature in the care by a few degrees because less sunlight gets through the tinting than an untinted window. It does reduce glare and it helps prevent sun damage to your interior.

It slows the rate of heat gain inside the car. It will eventually get as hot on the inside as anyother car, but it will take a little longer to get there.

I definitely helps. I noticed a difference in my car. Between the windows being tinted and a sun shade it is bearable.

lol...here's one for u A busload of politicians were driving down a country road when the bus suddenly ran off the road and crashed into an old farmer's field. The old farmer heard the tragic crash so he rushed over to investigate. He then began digging a large grave to bury the politicians. A few hours later, the local sheriff was driving past the farmer's field and noticed the bus wreck. He approached the old farmer and asked where all the politicians had gone. The old farmer explained that he'd gone ahead and buried all of them. "Were they ALL dead?" asked the puzzled sheriff. "Well, some of them said they weren't," said the old farmer, "but you know how them politicians lie." CHeeRioS
