hey haus...... honestly there is no position that you can or can not play it is all up to you what your willing to put into it...... when you play the coach will put you where he thinks is best but voice your opinions........I am 6'1 300.......but i play DT fullback tight end linebacker running back and DB it is all just how you are able to condition your self if your not happy with the spot given to you put all you have into for that season but when off season comes make sure you shine in the wieght room and during drills drop gain a little bit more weight in muscle and lose some fat while also gaining speed and who knows you could be the next sapp or bettis it is all just based on what your willing to put into it..... by the way i came in my freshman year at 5'9 190 and i had never played ball in my life but with a whole lot of determination a made a name for myself and became the biggest meanest DT in my district and all though it hurt and i shed plenty of blood and tears it was all worth it.... basically kid there is no wrong or right you have to be willing to step up and put out... i will tell you this though the defensive side of life while a little bit more work is usually much more rewarding unless your lucky to make it in the back field on offense becuase no body cares about O line when it comes time to write articles or do scouting reports....

I think an offensive lineman position makes sense, with that size at your age. If you were faster, I'd suggest the defensive side of the ball, but you need a guy on defense who can get to the runner and/or QB. Since you're not that fast, the O-line would be better, since all you really need are quick feet off the snap and some good instincts.

If you're 270 and only 15 years old... you'll play offensive line. Given you're not that fast I'd be surprised if you played a whole lot of defense, but you may see some time as a defensive tackle or noseguard. Obviously if you can snap the ball you're a shoe-in for center, otherwise either offensive guard or tackle.

at 15 you are the size of a offensive lineman. Defensive lineman must be fast. All you have to do is decide what is your strength in blocking. Straight up man to man, pulling, or pass blocking, which is fading back a bit toward the QB and then holding your ground. If you were able to build your speed, and maintain your weight, a tight end would be the way to go, but at your age, you are still growing. Stick with offensive lineman.

I would say something on the offensive line. If you want to have a more hands-on experience and actually carry the ball sometimes, I would try tight end or fullback. It also all depends on whether the 270 lbs is fat or muscle. If you're not very fast, you shouldn't try anything on defense behind the line. O-Line is probably your best bet.

lineman is what you'll be best at. try guard for offense and nose tackle for defense. not relaly so much about running in those positions but since you're a big boy, you can just close up the gaps easily and let the other guys tackle. that or if you have good hands you can be a fullback or tight end. those positions don't necessarily need to be fast but fast enough to throw blocks and run when needed to

I would ask you one question...list the positions you would like to play...from your favorite at 1 to your least favorite.
Now take a look at what it takes to play the position you want to play. Are you willing to do the work to your body to be able to play that position? If so, then you know what you want to play and what you have to do.
If not, then what are you willing to do to your body in order to play the sport you love?
Obviously you are big at 6'2", 270 Pounds...you are only 15...perhaps you would consider a sport that would help you with conditioning...Soccer or Basketball come to mind.
I recommend actually getting out and playing those sports...use them to gain speed and agility, with a key focus on your footwork.
What are your skills? What are you willing to do to improve your skills?
The key to picking your position is going to be the willingness you have to do the work that you need to do to be the best you can be at the position you pick.
The choice is truly up to you!!!

I believe that You should play OG (Offensive Guard) because your height and weight suggest it. Also because if you have slow feet you would have trouble handling speed rushers if you were to play OT(Offensive Tackle). If you play on the interior of the O-Line you will not have to deal with too much speed and even if you do, you have the Center to help. You can also Play a run-stuffing DT(Defensive Tackle) because you can occupy blockers with your girth and free up the Linebackers. Good Luck!

you could be a stud Tight End if you can absorb hits and catch the football.
If you think being a lineman is boring, ask your coach if you can try it out.
How about a Fullback/Running back? If you are THAT big at THAT age.... Something tells me that it will take more than one kid to bring you down. You could just plow em all over.
