At age 31 she can not realistically expect that she can just come on home and live with you forever. At that point in your life you should be taking care of yourself. You can politely tell her that while you love her a lot, you feel at this time in her life she needs be out of the house- that is why you raised her as good as you did.. Offer to help her go look at places, and help her move, but she should not be moving back in with you.

At some point or another in life, people have to make their own decisions. She is much to old to be coming home to live ther (unless of course she takes over paying for the entire house payments, which can ease up on some financial burdens).

Just tell her you were looking to rent out the aprtment to someone else, and that she cant have it.

at 31 that girl needs stop acting like a child and grow up. Just because you gave birth to her doesn't mean you take care of her for the rest of her life. I'm 27 and I've been living on my own since I was 18 and wouldn't dream of living with my parents again.

She's 31, not 10. Tell her to get out and get her OWN place.

Tell her no. It really is your life, and you are in control. Don't let her manipulate you, either. If she tries you have to stay firm and don't allow it.
