When I setup my wireless router, I setup a key by typing in a word, and it made it into a WPA key thing. Is there somewhere online where I can type in my password and it converts it into the WPA key, if this is possible? Any help is appreciated!

Connect your machine directly to your router using an ethernet cable.
Use your broswer to go to http://192.168.0.1 (default router addr)
Login with your u/p (default u/p will be in your router manual)
and you should be able to get your WPA key from Security settings.

You should be able to log back onto your router and look up the WAP key it generated.
