why do people think that they are entitle to everyting, yet they don't move to do anything to improve or succeed in life?

Mainly because we have gone off the word "welfare" and replaced it with the much more pleasant (and entitling) "entitlement". People think that "entitlements" are just that, things they are entitled to.
