My favorite comedy of all time is Dumb and Dumber.
I would also recommend Just Friends as well, both hilariously funny.
Not saying they are great movies, just great comedies heh heh.

There is an old classic comedy that is a real hoot. Its name is the Loved One. Walter Matthau was in it and the flick is 35 years old. It would be hard to find but it is well worth it. The movie is a parody on Jessica Mittford's book "The American Way of Death", which blew the lid off the American funeral industry. The first time I watched the film I almost chocked for lack of breath. (I was laughing so hard.)

The original Bird Cage with Ugo Tagnasi (sp?). It's in French with English subtitles. Absolutely hysterical. Also Caddy Shack, Animal House, Monty Python's Holy Grail and Life of Brian, Mrs. Doubtfire, standup comedy with Woopi, George Carlin, and Robin Williams.

Rat Race had me laughing so hard my sides hurt. If you have any Trekkiness in you, Galaxy Quest with Tim Allen is very funny. Cool Running the story of the Jamaican Olympic Bob Sled Team is more inspirational than funny but it's got a lot of hilarity in it. John Candy is the reluctant coach. The opening scene where John Candy smashes a radio is worth the rental for laughs.

The best one to rent is 'The Princess Bride' it's so funny and it's such a great movie. And then if you want a couple more, ' Pure Luck' with Martin Short and Danny Glover is hilarious, I laughed so hard the first time I saw it, my stomach muscles hurt for days. 'Kicking And Screaming' with Will Ferrell is also really funny and 'Dr. Doolittle 2' it's even better than the first one!! Have Fun!!
