The "Ayrab" definition of hypocrisy would be the US providing humanitarian aid to Lebanon while rushing precision-guided missiles to Israel in order to obliterate those who it seeks to "help"

This is exactly our problem with Israel's allies and supporters. They choose the most convenient point of history to start from. Let me start from the begining of the episode ..In the case of Hezbollah there are more than ten thousand Lebanese Arab abductees rotting in Israeli prisons, most without trial for 27 yrs. 1/3 of them are women & children. Some of them are born in prison.. All of this is forgotten history.. what is remembered is one Israeli hostage in Gaza & 2 in Lebanon. For them millions in Lebanon & Palestine had to be collectively PUNISHED. How much cheaper could we go before we could respond in kind?

You might want to read the Stratfor report (posted on July 25 which is available very easily on the web) on the current war in Lebanon. It has not been written by Mulla Longbeard but by George Friedman . I do not know George Friedman, or his ethnicity, but I could give long odds that he has no bear at all.

What are you talking about? Clearly you have very short term memory. Let me remind you....that BUT FOR Hezbollah going on Israel soil, killing 8 soldiers, and kidnapping 2 other soldiers, Israel would not be attacking Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon to get its soldiers back, and destroy Hezbollah for attacking it with missiles in Israel, and Lebanese people would not be in cross fire.

Why can't the Muslim world take any accountability for its lack of action in dealing with the large extreme element in its population? If it can't, Israel shall.

Sometimes many innocent people need to be killed so many more can be saved. I will give you an example, while watching the history channel a Japanese officer from WW2 said that he knew his nation had lost the war but they were going to make the US pay a terrible price for the invasion of Japan estimate were 2 million American killed or wounded and 5 million Japanese casualties. So what did we do, we wipe out about 80,000 Japanese with the bomb so we could we could save even more lives. In reality that's what needed today because it has been going on for 50 years now and it if there was a decisive victory in the middle east imagine how many lives would have been saved now.

How many people actually have any remote clue of what they are talking about?

The US is providing aid to Lebanon because we do not, and never have had, any problem with the people of Lebanon. We are supporting Israel with Weapons because we are their ally---and frankly one of its few true friends.

These two policies are not in opposition to each other because...........are you ready?

Hezbollah is NOT the Lebanese government, it is a terrorist organization financed and supported by Syria and Iran whose sole purpose for existence is the extermination of Israel and all Jews.

The United Nations has called for the disarming of this militia by the Lebanese government for several years and because Lebanon is unable to, or because it chooses not to, it has not been done.

This current conflict was started by this 3rd party "Hezbollah". Israel, as with any other country, decided it should defend its people from the indiscriminate bombing of its women and children and fought back to kill as many of the terrorists as possible and to wipe out as many of their missiles as possible.

The problem is the Hezbollah is a group of cowardly old women who do not have the fortitude or the character to fight their enemy by conventional means. They prefer to hide among the Lebanese people knowingly allowing women and children of Lebanon to die in their place. All the while they proudly proclaim their purpose is singular---the absolute and unambiguous annihilation of Israel and all Jews.

These are the same as the rest of the world cowards who believe that anyone who does not share their religious zealotry for the bastardization of Islam as they do must die.

They don't care to "discuss" it. They are not open to compromise; they do not respect God or human life at all. If they did, would they really name their group "Hezbollah" which means "Army of God"??

What "normal" person with even the most basic of education could claim that the taking of ones own life would make God happy. What "normal" person could possibly believe that knowingly killing innocent women and children to advance an ideology would make God happy and proud?

People had better wake up to the real world. The reality of the world we now live in is that there are many, many horrible blood-thirsty savages with the mentality of our forefathers in the 5th Century who have but one purpose---to kill YOU.

The good news is that we vastly outnumber these lunatics. The faster the enormous majorities of peaceful people unite and provide a common defense against such terror, the sooner the world evolves into a more peaceful existence.

You will have to get your hands very dirty in the process---there is no other way to prevail.

I agree with Eddie. If Israel wanted to attack Lebanon, it had already done it in the first place. No need to wait till Hezbollah striked n kidnapped those soldiers.

*But i do wish peace could take place soon. Lebanon is a great place to be.*

Everyone's blood is worth nothing to many Arabs and Muslims.

And the humanitarian aid is for non combatants not militants but who will still get some of it by posing as non combantants.

Arab Blood
Muslim Blood
American Blood

(don't forget that because of him, many innocent americans were forced into combat to die)

Bush just wants to make the textbooks, and make the world hate him while he's at it. I mean, in all honesty, is there an actual leader in this world that respects and likes bush? (and i don't mean those who act like they respect and like him for their own benifit! because I can assure you, if he didn't benifit them, they would probably be the first people to want to erase him from this time)

This President values all life and wishes no one any harm. He just values American lives over all others. A trait that I find endearing.
