They were as innocent as the Israeli citizens in the cities that hezbollah are bombing with rockets. Hezbollah are the ones drawing the fire into civilian areas and have earned criticism from many countries for doing so, even ones who oppose the fighting.

I believe Israel assumed insurgents rockets were comming from that particular location. Its a shame to see so many young lives taken by the senseless destruction of war.

what of all the innocent people in 9-11, the innocent civilians in iraq, the innocent people in israel, the MILLIONS of jews during the haulocast, the civilians in heroshima and nagasaki...
Civilians are always part of war, get over it. It just gets worse when combatants hide amoung the innocent.
